Contempory Quebec painters

Montrealer Charles Carson, creator of ''carsonism'', is first and foremost a lover of nature - not nature as it is, or as it is found in the ''dictionary'' to quote the great Delacroix, but rather nature passed through the filter of imagination and originality. He belongs to that race of creative artists who interpret the model in their own manner, using it to sublimate and celebrate and to give it their personal vision.

His painting - a harmonious dialogue between scents, colours and sounds - are his credo to the universe, which he depicts in all its aspects, from the ocean floor to the stars.
