Charles Carson : 1995 Art Agenda Utilus

Contempory Quebec painters

Art Agenda 1994

Édition Utilus

Born in Quebec City in 1957, Charles Carson would prefer to let his paintings speak for themselves. He doesn't like to talk about himself, and doesn't understand why a true collector would be interested in his childhood, or his emotional life. While the actor, like the singer, dancer or conductor, must give himself completely to his public, the painter, on the other hand, is not a public entertainer. Carson believes that only his material should speak for him, that his painting should be able to reveal his thoughts, his emotions and his dreams. He is only interested in seeing his paintings, which are the product of his search, his work, his joys and his sorrows, bring light and vitality into every home.
